It’s held at Shiseido’s office located at the Orchard Building on the 28-8 which was a Saturday.
This is my proof of payment for the workshop. Worth every cent as it’s fully redeemable for their products.
The brochures I took back as I was waiting at the hallway.
I Love the way how Maquillage package their products, the brochure just makes you want to just flip thru to take a peek.
This is the before workshop face as reference for you girls.
As I had work the earlier half of the day, I only put on really basic skin makeup and only use a sheer looking blusher to add colour to my pale looking cheeks.
I really adore the blusher, would do a review on it if time permits.
We were all usher to the hall where the workshop is held at. For those of you that went for the previous Shiseido warehouse sales, this place would seem awfully familiar.
Time seemed to pass slowly as we waited for the workshop to start.
As it was a hands-on workshop, these were the tools given to ensure personal hygiene was observed.
Love the red vivid brochure on the table.

The Rouge Enamel samples that we were given.
A short briefing was given before we get the workshop started.
We even covered fashion trends for the autumn 2010 before understanding why Maquillage has decided to introduce their latest collection.

Fashion Trends for Autumn 2010
It’s an ever-going monochrome colour scheme which will never go out of style. With a bold contrast of solid colours like red for an energetic look or blue strong sophisticated look.
Not to forget the mixing and matching of different image and materials to create the contrasting effect too.
With just one golden rule to follow, which is playing with contrast and to only highlight one major feature on your face as an attention grabbing focal point.
We were introduced to the new collection of Maquillage newly launched products to help us achieve this.
They are namely the:
Rouge Enamel
It is a double tip lip colour, with lasting rouge on one side and light collecting gloss on the other.
Dual Glow Eyes
It is a combination duo with a higher and shadow to create three dimensional looking eyes.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Four looks were created to show us how different looks can be created with the same product line.
They are namely the:
Elegant + Sexy
Sweet + Feminine
Both styles give more emphasis on the lips with bold colours, while the eye colours took up a secondary role with more muted colours like brown hues.
Sophisticated + Mannish
Modern + Casual
These two style gives more focus on the eyes with vibrant looking eye colours to give you peepers a boost.
Whereas the lip colour play the second fiddle.
Whereas the lip colour play the second fiddle.
I have chosen the Sweet + Feminine look as it matches the pinkish top that I am wearing that day and it oozes a hint of playfulness that emits out my personality.
The hands-on part of the workshop was then officially started:
The pretty and well mannered makeup artist for the day.
Our brave volunteer for the day getting her makeup meticulously done.
Prepping the Skin
• Cleanse and remove of all traces of makeup.
• Soften your skin using a toner.
• Moisturize your skin for a smooth application of makeup.
---
Apply of Makeup Base
• Helps makeup lasts longer.
• Improve skin texture (Hides open pores or uneven skin tone)
---
Using Concealer
• Apply using gentle patting using your finger tips.
• Start with a small amount and build up the layers when needed.
• Remember to blend off harsh lines.
• Apply 360 degrees as dark eye ring comes in a circle inside of a semi-circle.
Note:
• The speaker mentioned concealing is slighting different with the type of the concealer used.
The different type of concealers:
• Convention concealer (Cream or stick)
Conceal skin concerns first before applying foundation.
• Liquid concealer
Apply foundation first before concealing skin concerns.
Though I still prefer to conceal my flaws using my liquid foundation first before apply my foundation as the concealer actually help me to lessen my chances of putting on too much powder and risk having a cakey look. I personally find that the concealer adhere better too.
Though it’s majorly up to personal preference as mentioned by the speaker. Go try it out girls and find the best way that works for you.
---
Foundation Application
• Start out with a thin layer and build up with layers if required.
• Apply in a left to right motion.
• Do not pat as it result in an uneven look.
• Start application on the cheeks then follow to the T-zone.
To check whether your foundation application is even, lightly glide your finger tips around your face gently. If there is no longer any sticky feeling, then the application is all good.
Ensure that the shade of the foundation matches the colour of your neck and chest to create a uniform look.
To look for a suitable tone, always test it by swiping the tester on the neck and jaw-line to see whether it matches your existing skin tone.
---
Complimenting the Eye Brows
• Goes according to your hair colour for a natural look.
Black hair: Grey/Dark brown eye brown pencil.
Dyed hair: Light brown eye brown pencil.
• Always start from the outer corner to the inner corner.
• Strength of the lines is gradually fading from dark in the outer corner to light in the inner corner.
Note:
• Brown actually compliments our yellow Asian skin better than black.
• It does not give us a fierce look too with over defined brows.
---
Eyeliners
• DOES NOT MALES EYES LOOK BIGGER!
• Makes eyes look longer with the horizontal lines instead.
NOTE:
• For people that have thin or spare eye lashes.
• For people that have too much of the double eye lid.
---
Kissable Lips
• Puckering of lips actually spoils the nice finishing coat.
• Application should start from the middle, and then follow by gliding the product left and right.
---
Highlighting the face
• For the nose bridge area.
• Follow by the eye brow arch area.
---
Natural looking blush
• The blush colour should fall between the mouth and the under nose area.
• Do not apply too near to the nose.
• Start with light swipes and build up intensity as desire.
• Over application could be tone down with some loose powder.
---
Bronzer
• Apply at the jaw line for a more contoured look.
WOW, look at just how concentrated everyone is.

Thoughts on the New Products:
Rouge Enamel
Pros:
• Loves the non-sticky feeling even through its coated with a layer of gloss.
• No lipstick mark left after drinking from the glass cup.
• Wide and sexy variety of colours to chose from.
• Colour payout is vibrant and zesty.
• After application, lips look really 3 dimensional and pouty.
• The staying power is just fabulous.
Cons:
• After biting my lips while eating, flaking occurs and bites and pieces chipped off as though I had really bad cracked lips (Bad habit, I know)
• Accentuates the fine lines on my lips to a huge extend
I really do love this product with its lovely range of colours, its great colour payout and lasting stay power. Though I do advise to moisturize your lips with a lip balm first and put on lip concealer before attempting to apply this rouge for a better look.
Will I get the Rouge?
YES but probably after testing out the samples I have been given a few more times before doing this investment. Great for people like me who want non-sticky gloss which is so hard to find.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dual Glow Eyes
Pros:
• Have moisturizing serum effect.
• Compact and easy to carry around.
• The staying power is great even without any eye shadow primer.
Cons:
• Cream shadows tend to be harder to work with.
• Colour payout is a little disappointing for the price.
Will I get the Dual Glow Eyes?
No, probably because I find that it does not work out for me. Though I heard pretty good raves for it.

My 5 Cents Worth on the Maquillage Autumn 2010 Makeup Workshop
BEFORE:
The me without much makeup except for the very basic which is the: concealer and a thin layer of foundation.
Please pardon the ugly me, hair really do make a huge different on how one look.
AFTER:
I believe that I definitely look better in this picture.
It was my first time attending a hands-on session and I really enjoyed it. The session was informative and the chance to be able to try out the products first hand really gets me excited. Though I would prefer if some time was given to each participant for a short one to one.
I loved the fact too that girls that have the same interest like me are gathered at one location. Not to mentioned that there was this pretty lady who sat next to me too. She was nice enough to remind me of some steps which i have forgotten about.
That's her in the picture.
I am a great fan of Shiseido products as they have come out with various brand and range of skincare and cosmetic for every single group of age ranging from teens to professional working adults. A little something for everyone.
Some of the brands included are:
• ZA
• Majolica Majorca
• Aqua Label
• Maquillage
• Shiseido
Great thanks for Shiseido for organizing such enriching workshops.
Kudos to you girls for the fabulous afternoon at the workshop.

Not to forget the goodie bag for the event, a cheery yellow small bag with some good sized samples.
Girls, if you are interested in the Rouge Enamel and the Dual Glow Eyes.
Please make your way down to Takashimaya to have a swatch of the colours as Shiseido is currently having a road show till the 2nd September.
